Hunting dog Tips for training …?

NOTHING! books, websites, anything. Soon will be getting at least one golden retriever, maybe two. I also get a Beagle. golden retrievers are good bird dogs? who are holders of a point? I know they are dogs of good quality water, but I dont know about washing / pointing birds. Ive heard things about purebred dogs and setters and I just want some good information. you can give me a link or just tell me where to find information. Thank you very much!

I would be careful with gold. Check the lines and make sure they come from a trial and the line of work does not appear or will not have snowballs chance in hell. Consider the more pointers and setters are much more versatile. Consider starting a dog because it is a lot of hard work to achieve a stable dog and the extra money worth if you have a young dog under his belt. I have a great love for the Weimaraner. This is a very versatile dog able to point, flush, recovery and monitoring. They are beautiful in action, but again stay away from program lines. I have a few friends with them and they have never gone to another race. Stick with a short-haired breed otherwise will spend more time pulling the burrs game and then if they do not pull the thorns and the dog eats you might have a dead dog.
