Its interesting to note the comments left by some readers in the Salt Lake Tribune article, here are some highlights:
“We as humans are, someday, somehow, going to have to answer for our wanton killing…Karma, it’s a b***h.”
“It’s not difficult to figure out, the problem is that those breeding believe they have a right greater than the critters created by their GOD.”
The article itself is well balanced and lists factual statistics regarding bear harvest data, however you read people’s reactions and they are so emotionally based it can be scary. Our society today constantly moves closer and closer to equating animals on the same level as humans.
